Empowering the next generation – on and off the court

We're proud to announce a sponsorship agreement between Powerlines and the rising tennis talent Sebastian Pock – a 15-year-old Austrian tennis player currently ranked among the top players in his age group.

Sebastian's talent, determination and passion reflect the very values we champion – not just in sport, but also in our workplace. At Powerlines, we truly believe in supporting young potential, whether it's on the tennis court or on our construction sites or in our offices. That's why we invest heavily in training and development programs for our employees organised by our very own PowerAcademy, just as we now support Sebastian in his athletic journey.

Berthold Bartsch, CEO Powerlines: “We believe that investing in young talent is investing in the future — whether it's on the court or in our own teams. Sebastian represents the future of tennis, and we're excited to support his journey. Just as we invest in the growth of our young employees through training and development, we’re honoured to stand behind Sebastian and support him to meet his goals."

Last Monday, Sebastian and his coach Lukas visited us at our headquarters in Wolkersdorf. After a brief welcome with our CFO Michaela, the two of them showed us some of their training exercises, which we had the chance to try out ourselves. And even though we probably won’t become tennis pros, we definitely had a lot of fun with the rackets and balls. Of course, a visit to our PowerAcademy training facility was also a must. There, Sebastian and Lukas gained insight into our activities and our PowerAcademy training concept, and they also had the opportunity to try their hand at overhead line assembly techniques.

This partnership is more than a sponsorship — it’s a shared commitment to growth, excellence, and the future of sport.
