THE POWERLINES GROUP

The Powerlines Group is an international corporate group operating in the RAIL, ENERGY and PRODUCTS business segments.



In the RAIL business segment, Powerlines is a system supplier and offers its international customers the complete range of services from consulting & engineering through installation & maintenance to product development and sales. The clients receive overhead line systems and components compliant with international standards from one reliable source.
Powerlines is active in the electrification of local mass transit and mainline rail infrastructure. In local mass transit, Powerlines electrifies tram, metro, light rail and trolleybus systems. In mainline the range of services includes standard railway lines and high-speed lines.
Many years of international experience, technical know-how, the best knowledge of the industry and a modern large vehicle fleet enable the group to meet the diverse requirements of the different markets.


In the ENERGY segment the Powerlines Group is mainly focused upon serving the Austrian and German market, although large projects have already been completed in Sweden and Slovakia. Further European expansion is planned via Powerlines Energy. Powerlines Energy Austria and Powerlines Energy Germany offer the expertise within the Group for implementing high voltage transmission line projects. Powerlines Energy with its subsidiaries acts as a general contractor, providing the complete range of services – from the design to the installation and maintenance of medium voltage, high voltage and maximum voltage transmission lines up to 400-kV.


Powerlines Products develops and distributes products, components and complete systems for local mass transit and mainline rail infrastructure. The focus is on a holistic system development taking into account the latest production methods and the highest quality standards. Products are developed particularly with a view to minimising maintenance intensity and maximising functional safety.
